Church and town records, [ca. 1650-1930]

Volumes contain manuscript and typescript copies, and some photocopies made by numerous genealogists from the records of New York State, primarily, churches and towns. Also, copies of records from churches and towns in New England, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere in the U.S. Information, dating from the 17th to the 20th century, consists very largely of records of births, deaths, and marriages. Also recorded are lists of church members, and records of baptisms, land records, and legal records. Of note are nine volumes of copies of records from Trinity Church in New York City. These record baptisms, 1749-1885, marriages, 1746-1886, and burials, 1777-1899. Lists of vaults and tombstones, including some from St. Paul's and St. John's Churches, are also included.
